HCL India have released “HCL PC for India” for Rs. 9990 or about USD 230. Here is the specs:

I guess this should be enough for Internet browsing and maybe a little bit of word processing. Anyway you can check it out and even buy it at hclstore. There is also a Celeron version available for INR 1000 extra.
